“VAN or SUV?” This question has been gaining more and more traction in recent years, given the relentless SUV fad. On the other side of the barricade, however, stands a somewhat forgotten car type, namely the VAN. In the era of SUVs, are VANs still a good option for 2+3 families?
There have been plenty of SUVs on Poland’s roads recently, and more and more of them are arriving every year. Why is this so? It is difficult to answer this question unequivocally. SUVs are characterized by high suspension, providing better visibility in relation to other cars, and larger dimensions. This makes them considered by drivers to be comfortable and safe
Given these features, SUVs can serve without much trouble as a car for a family in the model of 2+3. However, it is also important to remember that not all SUVs will be noticeably larger than standard passenger cars. This is true for compact SUVs, whose dimensions may in some cases be too small for a family of five
Many people also opt for SUVs because of their driving capabilities. While these cars don’t really have much in common with off-roaders, they still perform well on more challenging terrain. The downside to this type of vehicle, however, is the trunk. It is located higher than in a typical car, sometimes making it difficult to pack a baby carriage, which is not a light one.
In the era of ubiquitous SUVs, it is still hard to find an extensive line of VAN models in the offers of car manufacturers. For years they were considered the ideal, and sometimes the only choice if you had a large family. The biggest players in the automotive market nowadays, however, are moving away from this type of body in favor of SUVs. This is also due to the decreasing demand for this type of car
The VANs are still equipped with solutions that pseudo off-roaders do not have and are unlikely to have. It’s about sliding doors, for example, which make it extremely easy to get in and out of the vehicle. This is a great way to get to and from your home, and it is also a great way to get to and from your home
A very big advantage of these cars are also independent seats. In the rear part of the vehicle we will not meet a typical sofa, but separate seats, which significantly increase the level of comfort during travel. When it comes to luggage space, VANs offer users much more space than SUVs.
SUVs and VANs are different in many ways. Therefore, the final decision on which car to opt for should mainly depend on the preferences of the individual driver. SUVs certainly win over VANs when it comes to styling. The first type of cars is definitely more modern and slightly sporty
In the case of VANs, their appearance is often described as subdued and not very diverse, taking into account the different models. SUVs are also distinguished by a more compact body line, which works well in the city. It allows for more efficient maneuvering in winding and tight streets. Vans, on the other hand, certainly benefit from the fact that they offer a very spacious interior, comfortable seats and a large trunk. This will be appreciated especially by families who travel frequently.
